“A Climate Conscious Mountaineering Medic - My Personal Viewpoint”

Dr Jon Morgan

Jon is an Associate Specialist in Anaesthetics at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. A fully qualified UIAGM guide, Jon is also an incredibly accomplished mountain "all rounder" - equally at home in rock shoes, trainers and ski boots! His achievements are wide ranging and have recently included an unsupported winter run of the Bob Graham Round and the 7-day Chamonix - Zermatt ski tour in just over 30 hours!

For many years Jon has highlighted the planet's climate emergency and has gone to great lengths to minimise his own impact upon the environment. Hear about how he's done this and the difference you can make in what promises to be a fascinating talk.

Find out more about Jon in “On Belay With...”.

The series is generously supported by Alpkit. Places are FREE but must be reserved in advance. A certificate of attendance will be provided to those who complete the feedback questionnaire.
